Testing for critical pressure and critical temperature in connection with rapid crack propagation in plastic pipes up to external diameter 250 mm is conducted according to ISO 13477. IPT supplies a heavy-duty, motor-powered tester with a separate control panel as well as suitable sample holders with endclosures, a support and an inner tension rod for various pipe dimensions.
The basic tester has the following features:

> Three selectable strike speeds: 10, 15 and 20 m/sec
> Measurement of the precise strike speed of the blade via photoelectric barrier
> Acoustic and visual signals
> Easy connection of the sample via a quick-release coupling

> User protected by locating controls outside of the danger zone e.g. behind a suitable barrier screen at safe distance to tester’s support frame, or outside of the testing room
